Tie downs
I am new to truck campers. Looking at used ones. Can I safely mount a 1000 lb camper on my Ram 1500 short bed using heavy duty ratchet straps and the factory tie downs in the bed. Looking for opinion...

Really,My Yamaha Rhino weighs 1049# without extras so it probably weighs over 1200# on the back of my trailer..I use 2-20,000# straps,one on each end because that thing gets bounced all over the place on these wash bordy forest service roads...Never an issue going on 13 years with the same straps..I carry extra ratchet straps(quality) behind my front seat for problems that may occur...
