Exactly the same in BC, 4600KG and you need a Heavy House Trailer endorsement on your Class 5 DL. There is also a different endorsement for a cargo trailer over 4600KG, you need to do a medical as well as get the endorsement, because you have just crossed over in Commercial status, even if it's your personal trailer.
Like I said fail the pre-trip, you better nail the road test, because your half way to a fail and they don't allow you to use a checklist. Your also not allowed to use any sorts of aids, like backup cameras for the backing portion of the test.
Same regs for trailers 3000# as well.
