Timbrens on a 2017 or 2018 F350 DRW?

http://timbren.com/2017/09/11/truth-severe-service-kits/

We have rear Timbrens on our 2008 DRW and may put them on the new 2018 after test driving it with out them.

I've looked at them on line and they seem to have 3 or 4 different versions for my new truck. The ones they seem to recommend for TC hauling are their "Severe Duty" springs with an 8,000 lb rating. I think that is stiffer than what I have now.

Anyone have Timbrens on their 2017 or 2018 F350 DRW?

Bump stop rubber springs like Timbren and Sumo/sumosprings have weird load ratings, very difficult to understand and know if the rating applies to you. In some cases, the springs are not even impacted until a high load is applied to your truck and a good amount of sag has already been applied. Good luck!

Not hard to understand with a little research and their load ratings are really straight forward ... at least the Sumo Springs are. I added the Sumo "Solo" springs rated at 2800 lbs. to my rear suspension setup to supplement my truck's OEM suspension with the camper (upper helper spring) package.

True, the Sumo Solo's only engage when the truck is loaded and sits down about an inch but they really help control sway and overall heavy load management performance when engaged. When no/light loaded, the Sumo's do not engage at all which is what I wanted to avoid a jarring ride. With my setup, there's no fuss or muss or anything to leak, break, rip or adjust.

When I was shopping for the best solution for my needs, I called the SuperSprings (Sumo) company and talked to a tech. He was great and in fact, when I described what I was carrying and the approximate weights, he steered me away from the heavier duty Sumo Spring products. I went with his suggestion and they work great!

My 2017 F350 DRW handles 6500 lb camper just fine, thank you very much.
What camper do you have that weighs 6500# ?
