Bought a new Northstar 12 STC a couple months ago. Brought it home, and have been working on it since them. Looks like I'm going to have time to continue working on it.
So far:
- Removed bathroom mirror, added medicine cabinet
- Removed factory power converter, replaced with a lithium battery compatible converter
- Ran heavier wires from converter to batteries
Installed the following:
- 2 Battle Born 100ah lithium batteries
- 2000 watt inverter and remote switch
- Victron battery monitor
- 4 100w solar panels
- 45w MPPT solar controller
- 27"x 17" x 8" under camper sliding storage bin
- sewer hose storage tube under camper
- 32" tv and pivoting mount
- A second transfer switch for 110v power. Camper now will run on inverter, then automatically switch to shore power if plugged in, or switch to generator power if generator is started
- Added a separate breaker subpanel for the converter so it won't try to charge the batteries when we're running on the inverter
And of course put 2 coats of wax on the camper!
Can't wait for things to start reopening here in the Northeast so we can actually use the camper.
