But as Cummins notes, tires here in NW US generally speaking last awhile before they weather check. Typically 8-10 years for me.

You know the commute from Skagit Valley to the greater Seattle area, that was my daily commute. My 81VW PU made it 150k on the rear OE Michelin’s. Fronts went 100k. No rotate. Fears still had 3/16” tread nut I ran one near flat a ways to get it fixed. Then went with GY’s. They didn’t last as long.
With a million commuting miles under my belt with mostly Michelin’s and a couple sets of BFG’s. I am sold on Michelin’s. BFG’s were awesome but went about 80% as long
