time to get vehicle after ordering
My Chevy Traverse is at 241K and my wife says i need to order a new one. local dealer says 6-8 months. Just curious if that is them trying to get me to take what they can find or if the build time...

These are strange times.
Blue Oval Forums and a LONG thread of people ordering and delivery experiences.
OEMs are getting hammered with retail orders, and they are struggling. Ford in particular is having issue meeting the demand for things like 5th wheel prep, spray lining, and several electronic options. Retail ordering customers have completely shifted the options they want. I think I read ford exec stating on an average year, less than 20% of vehicles were ordered, it's now like 75%. I also saw a union message to the workers the order bank is still well over 200k deep, and 2022 should be drawing to a close soon. I had to cancel Adaptive steering to get my truck built last summer. It's gotten a lot worse since then.
