Huge congrats on that beauty! We made "the move" this past May from our beloved ROO 23SS to a Rockwood Ultra Lite 2604 and know the pain of emptying out your HTT and seeing it leave - in our case we took it to it's new family and we left it. We had already picked up our 2604, so the feelings were mixed, but it has a great new home and they're close enough that we may be able to camp together some time. Great young couple with a darling 3 year old daughter...not sure who was more excited about it.
I'm assuming your sofa is the same as the one we have with the air mattress. Both of our DSs have slept on it and declared it really comfy. Before you make a trip to Walmart to get an airpump.....you don't need to because it has one built in. Fills in only a couple of minutes and deflates just about the same time. So not at all like making up a bed every night other than the linens.
Your bedroom looks pretty much the same other than the wardrobes, which we had no need for. We do have a narrow one on each side of the bed and that is perfect for us.
You are absolutely going to LOVE that garden shower! You can actually turn around and everything!!
I lost some counter space in the kitchen, but it's still workable, just have to rethink how I do things. You are going to have room for a huge buffet!
Love the dinette you have. We have the standard style, but slightly larger than our ROO. We very rarely have more than the 2 of us, but the smidge larger makes having an extra or two for a meal more comfortable.
I didn't know if I'd like the day/night shades since we were perfectly happy with the mini-blinds we'd added in the ROO......awesome! We have the large picture window in the rear where your TV and side windows are and it's so nice to enjoy the view from that area.
From the time of our '07 ROO, FR made some really nice changes. DH is really happy about the black tank rinser. We had a Tornado, which served it's purpose, but required him to get on all fours at dumping time to hook up the hose. Now he just stands up and attaches the hose. Easier to reach the dump valves, too.
We've had a couple of minor warranty issues and they've both been resolved. You've been around long enough to know the faucets in the kitchen and bath aren't exactly top of the line. Also, our PUR faucet water filter would not fit on our new one, plus it had a nice drip, drip, drip feature that had to go. DH adjusted it a couple of times and the drip thingy just returned. We could have turned it in under warranty, but he figured he'd just get the same top of the line faucet and we'd really have to upgrade at some point. We've already made that change and found a Peerless that looks exactly like the OEM, so I'm happy...and it has a sprayer. Bathroom is fine. Did I mention that you're gonna LOVE that shower??? Going to replace the OEM shower head with the Oxygenics like in the ROO in the spring.
We miss the openness of the HTT, but both your new TT and ours have so many windows that it's not like being in a box. Foxy is not thrilled because she always hopped up on the front bunk to see everything going on and now there no bunk. What the??? I've caught her a couple of times in the swivel rocker checking things out the rear window and she looks a bit sheepish and gets down. Sorry, Fox.
I do think that unless we have an early and extreme winter, we may be able to get an extra trip or two with Rocky over our winterizing date with the ROO.
So, enjoy!, congrats and make lots of happy memories.
