After many years of towing a trailer over many miles, never going above 65mph when the road permits, we average about 50mph. This also accounts for stopping to eat, filling the tank, bathroom breaks, etc.
Nor do we like to drive more than 8 hours at a time. At 50mph, we cover about 400 miles, sometimes a bit more but more likely a bit less. And after the drive is over, more time is required to setup the trailer. For us, this is a long, full day.
