The most secure method would be to replace the screw in the clip with a through bolt that has a (decent color/fiber/etc) washer on the inside of the door.
Mmmmmm and if the bolts were long enough you could use them to hang a robe or towel on them. Would look pretty on a $$$$K motorhome. NOT mine...
