I love boondocking, but I have to say it is getting harder and harder to find places that allow it anymore. As stated previously, now many states require parking permits at many of the places that you could park overnight for free. Also, they are gating many of the roads here in Oregon and that is a major showstopper. Just try to find a place to boondock on the north Oregon coast. Such places are drying up quickly. The powers that be just want us all under control in a crowded campground so we aren't out destroying the forests like so many unfortunate idiots do. I believe STEALTH camping will be the standard in the future.
