Shop floor plans on the manufacturer's websites to see what is available and what you really like. Having a gaggle of small children I'm shopping for a similar unit that you are describing but am about 90% sure I'm going to go with a 5th wheel. To get the floor plan and space I want/need the TT seems to be well north of 35' and often times nearly 40'. That's just a behemoth of a trailer to haul around so be prepared.
As for pricing it's VERY regional. A lot of the cost you pay is for transport to your destination. A lot of units are made around Indiana. Find a model you like and enter it into rvtrader.com or rvt.com, or just enter the model with the words "for sale". You'll be amazed at how much the prices vary.
Once my current TT sells I'm going to have to decide how far I'm willing to drive to get a new one. I'm on the west coast so the farther east I'm willing to go the more I can save. There is some value to buying locally though with dealer service.
Good luck and have fun!!!!
