Jus2shy, ok now I have a new question. So are you saying if we buy a RV here in WA, and then move back east we wont be able to get warranty help anywhere but back here???? Oh I hope not, that would be awful. I assumed it was like a car and you could take it to any dealer that worked for the manufacturer and get it taken care of. Please explain all anyone knows about this issue, as this is VERY important to our decision.
Temmcarthy1 thanks for the tip. We have been trying to find the models for '14 and '15, but have been having a hard time finding the floorplans we like in the old model years :-( We did find 1 but thats it so far.
Yes and no. Most dealers will do warrenty work, but only after they have taken care of their selling customers first. Its just the sad nature of the industry. If your lucky, you wont see a dealer for anything after the first couple of months, if ever. With the two brands I mentioned as as someone else mentioned,Northwood has been very good about taking care of their customers. My CC in ten years has never been back for a warrenty repair. Hubby or you hopefully are mechanically inclined enough to handle 95% of the routine issues that will crop up with any RV. Otherwise it can become very very expensive in a hurry at around $100.00 an hour for labor.
