For you toawable drivers, use good tires. Get 16" LT tires that are way overrated for your use, and throw those Chinese ST tires in the garbage before anything like this happens...
Couple of things here. We had a blowout on our fifth wheel recently and we have a TPMS system. No warning and I had just looked at the screen, when boom! Second, I just read an extensive article on trailer tires. ST's are made specifically for towables. The sidewalls are meant to take the turning and flexing that towables are subject too that LT's can't handle. That's not to say LT's are bad, but ST's are made specifically to handle the flexing. Brand doesn't mean anything, but how they are handled and treated. An American made Goodyear can blow just as easily as a Chinese made and the Chinese can out perform, if treated correctly and replaced when it should be.
