Like I said, why should I have to expect less from a trailer tire when it travels the same road as the TV.
That is understood and situations may vary. There are many cases, like mine, where switching would make no difference and the weight would still be well within the tires handling capability.
It's not a decision that may be in everyone's best interest. Brand and other factors have more to do with price than just being an ST or LT. Besides that, the general design is different. More weight - more heat generated. The ST tires are designed to displace more heat than an LT. You have to ask yourself how close you are to max capacity and how much heat displacement means to you. There are other differences besides load capacity and heat displacement.
