Tire pressures on the door sticker killed a lot of people in Ford Explorers a decade or so ago. Ford had set the sticker numbers for comfort and left Firestone holding the bag. Tire pressures as marked on the tire are what I tend to go with. I've had my truck tires slightly lower when unloaded and/or off road but when fully loaded I stick with the tire manufactures recommendation.
But that's just me.
