Tough question , you would need more info and digital monitoring of the temps to really know. Weight, roads surface,road temp, etc.
reasons:
Rims also have PSI ratings. If the 6 ply tire has a 50# PSI rating , it should go on a 50# PSI rim. That combo will run at a certain temp.
The 8 ply has a 65# PSI and should go on a 65# rim. That might change the temp., but...........
The other part of the question might be the extra weight of the "D" tire.
Might need more energy to rotate so it might not run cooler.
