Tire recommendations for pick up truck for towing

I have a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT that use to pull my TT. Looking for suggestions for quality tires for my truck. Not really interested in Chinese products.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
  • And Cooper, bfg, Firestone, Goodyear, Pro Comp, Mickeys and Hankooks are good tires too….
Point being, get some tires that are suited for your traction needs and make them D or E load if for no other reason, they’ll outlast the comparable light duty tires by more than the extra $20 a tire that they cost.
  • I have Pirelli Scorpoion All Terrain Plus and Continental Terrain Contact HT that I run Winter and Summer on my Express van. Like them both.
  • Usually buy the off brands. Always have gotten good mileage out (40-50k miles) of them and never had a blow out or other issue.

Just make sure the load rating is sufficient to meet or exceed the axle ratings.

Then you have the question of tread type (highway vs off road) but that depends greatly on how you intend to use it.
  • Falken Wildpeak AT3W. Best tire I've ever run on a truck, and they hold up to an HD diesel. I think they'd be great on a half ton too.
  • I,ve run Cooper AT3. Had them one set on my previous truck and two sets on this one.
First two sets were D rated really liked them. Latest set is "e" just because they were in stock. These also perform like a champ, just a bit stiffer.
I have no argument with Michelins, But they are like John Deere or Kubota,a superior product, but not by enough to rate the premium that is charged.
  • I've been disappointed every time I strayed from Michelin.
  • I have been running Michelin Defenders for years. I won't have anything else; I've tried them all. A little more expensive but after trying the others, I always came back to Michelins.
