I never questioned your use of 265's as opposed to stock 245's , I am also running 265's on my 2500HD . In addition I run one size up on my 3500DRW . With both trucks using one tire size up the speedometers are accurate , with the stock size they were not .
You are reporting that with the stock size tires your speedometer was accurate .
It just illustrates the point I was making that speedometer accuracy varies greatly , even within the same brand and series trucks . Being an automotive engineer you already know that GM dealers have the ability to reprogram the computer to adjust for tire size . Whether thy are willing to is another matter . A 2500HD and a 3500SRW have the exact same running gear with different size tires .
