First pic NOT blowout but was tread loss. Second pic IS a blowout caused by tread loss then it blew. I had temp and visual checked one out before towing 60mph and 70 degrees out.
I think these tires simply don't like being ran close to max weight rating. Ran them on last DRV thousands of miles with zero issues. Hoping these monster Continental's do the job!!!
Both are GY "H" 17.5's.
Thanks for clarifying what constitutes a tire failure, in your mind.
I "think" for the rest of the world, tread separation, blowout, bubble in the sidewall, broken belt bulge, are pretty much all equally considered a tire failure.
