Why put A/T tires on a DRW truck? You are not going to do any serious trail running ....
Huhhh??
I've read all the arguments against doing any serious trail running with DRW and the reasons come up a bit weak, IMHO.
I switched to taller non-stock 85-width Mud & Snow Michelins on our E450 ton-and-a-half DRW small Class C. I really like riding up on the edges of the ruts instead of down in them when we take it offroad. If one stays with the 85 width specification (instead of 65/70/75) and/or maybe use spacers too with a DRW setup ... you can wind up with nice tall tires for great differential, transmission, oil pan, and suspension ground clearances - just like with large diameter tires on a SRW setup. For any given load, DRW is going to provide better flotation (larger overall rubber surface square inches) on soft surfaces than SRW will give you, too.
