Tires...again

It's time to replace the tires on the dually (LT215/85R16). I have narrowed my choice down to Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure or Michelin LTX AT2. Both about the same money...any comments would be much appreciated to help me with the choice.

  • Been very happy with Schwab and the service they give. My 275/16 tires are rated 3475 pounds or about 400 pounds more each than the original tires.
  • I also run Michelin tires and so far seem OK, but saw pictures in a post a day or so ago where someone had serious cracking in the side walls. I'm not sure if it was an anomaly but I will be keeping a closer eye on them.
  • Assuming they are the same load capacity, I'd say Michelin because there are so many fans here.
  • I replaced OEM tires with Michelin LTX A/T2 back in 2007.
Got 60,000 miles out of them towing full time.
Replaced them with same....20,000 miles ago.

    I like them!
  • Can't comment on the Michelin as I have not had them, but I had narrowed down to the same two and went with the Goodyear. It's a great tire. Very good in snow and winter weather, and very quiet and secure feeling on highway while towing. I have the E rated Wrangler AT.

FWIW...I have never liked the Goodyear Wrangler that is OEM n many trucks...this is a different animal.

    Good rebate on Goodyear now....
