Tires question

Been running BFG on my trucks for years (since 1980s) and more years with the KO2 - no issues, plenty of miles - both on and off roads. At the moment, on my Chevy 2500HD, just put a new set of LT 285-17's - ride great, very little road noise. I'd buy them again if I need them again ... They were about half-worn at 28K miles, but I hit a road hazard middle of nowhere and killed one. Don't feel right with only one new and half-tread on others, so bought four new, kept the others as back up in case it happens again.

I had only one MFTR tire issue in all these years, and BFG replaced two so they would be even. Only good things to say about BFG.

That dually trailer is cool. I saw one in Tennessee a few years ago.

The vehicles I’ve had that come with Michelins were in service for many thousands of miles.

My friend that I buy my tires from said he sees fewer Michelin tires fail than any other brand.

If Michelin makes an XPS rib in your size, then they should make an XPS traction as well, and I’d chose that. I had a set on a 1995 F350 dually and they were great tires. I didn’t think they were noisy at all. The diesel engine probably drowned out any noise the tires made.

They only make a few sizes of that tire now, which is a shame. It’s a good all-steel carcass tire, which gives them some stiff sidewalls.

My truck come with Michelin LT.
Have 30k on them and looks like they'll be good for another 20-30k.
Michelins outpriced the tires lately IMHO, so BF might be valid choice.
Depends how much you drive in slippery condition - Michelins might not be the best choice.
They shine on long drives in good weather, but mostly suck on snow.
