I have another question. My used Jayco came with some checking and cracks on the tire sides, the tread is like new, so I hate to purchase new tires if I don't have to. What is your experience with this situation?
Doesn't matter how much or how good the tread is, if you have visible cracks in the sidewalls or near the tire bead it is MUCH BETTER TO REPLACE.
While you could check the date code, to me it is peace of mind in simply starting out with some fresh rubber instead of taking the chance on older tires which may have several years on the date code to go but are showing signs of aging..
