Titling/registration nightmare. Advice?
So there is a van I want to buy. It's located in AZ, titled in MO, and I am going to register it in a third state, where my S&B is. I've talked to the DMVs in all 3 states. None will issue a trip...

Does the seller have the Title? If not walk away. If so have him sign the title and a bill of sale. Call your insurance agent and get covered. You should be OK.
And......if I were the seller, I would not allow the buyer to drive away without the title being duly transferred. Without the title being officially transferred, the original owner can still be held liable and sued in the event of an accident. :E
