- tbredExplorer IIWishing a blessed Veterans Day for all who serve/and have served. Thank you for all your many sacrifices.
- loulou57ExplorerThank You!
Veterans worldwide do not get the respect and treatment they have earned.
Many leave service unable to work, many leave able to work but have no training for civilian jobs. These men and women are then left to fend for themselves with no financial or mental support. There are men and women who returned with physical or emotional scars that we civilians could never understand.
For the families who have lost their loved ones, you should stand proud for them. Your loved ones, gave it all.
Thank you, just does not seem enough. What can we say, what can we do, what are the words, how can we thank enough?
Peace to your Hearts! - Victory402ExplorerI want to say thank you to all the vets out there. I'm grateful for the freedom we have because of your efforts. Vic
- Ski_Pro_3ExplorerYou are welcome!
I was lucky and was never wounded. I'm now involved with a Wounded Warrior program called 'Heros on the Water' we take wounded vets out on kayaks and get them on fish. Some of the therapists have told me at the end of the day, that one day on the water made more a difference in their vet than all the months or years spent in therapy.
I'm now also getting involved with a Wounded Warrior Transition Unit; vets who have served 3 or more tours in a combat zone. As you might imagine, transitioning back into civilian activities can sometimes be difficult. We help them realize life can go on and that it can be the right thing to take care of your self and well being.
