Being a new to RVing, how does one secure stand alone furniture when traveling?
My Outback came with eye-hooks on the floor and straps that go over the furniture. Tighten the strap and nothing moves. We do not have to strap down the rocker chairs or the couch, only the kitchen chairs. The kitchen table itself is screwed into the floor. Originally, the table was turned 90 degrees from the photo above. But with it sticking out like that, there was not enough clearance to pass by the table and kitchen counter-sink when the slides were in. By removing 2 chairs and turning the table 90 degrees, it provided ample room to pass now with slides in. Actually, we don't use the table for anything except a junk collector. My wife said it would be OK to remove the kitchen table and chairs completely, but currently, with our son and his son living with us (and all his furniture) we simply don't have space to store the table anywhere at the moment. I screwed the table back to the floor. It does not move. The rockers and couch never move.
Funny, I left (forgot) a flashlight on the kitchen counter standing on end. We drover over 100 miles to our next rest. When we went inside the camper for drinks and potty-break, the flashlight was still standing on end and never moved! AMAZING! We couldn't believe it!
