To tarp or not to tarp, that is the question...

I have an '01 Aerolite hybrid that I just bought and replaced the floor. (insane floor replacement) We only took it out twice this year but are hoping to get at least one more year before discussing...

I agree with 2oldman. The wind would turn the canopy in your picture into a kite. Unless it was well fastened. In my area the winter wind would tear it apart quickly.
I would use a tarp and attach it so it is secure. Especially, if you may have a leak.
