Toilet choices, plastic vs. porcelain.

i'm in the process of selling my old trailer and ordering a new one. Our old plastic toilet has never let me down. I'm also trying to save on weight and I figure there is about a 40lb. weight penalty in owning a trailer with the porcelain toilet. I would be buying a 6500 lb. trailer pulling it with a half ton Dodge Ram, 5.7 Hemi so every pound counts. But I do love the look of the porcelain vs the Plastic. What do you like?

    I think you will like the porcelain one better, and if you plan to read the Sunday Times while on it, then by all means get one. If you are good with the plastic one, stay with it, you can always swap it out later. I’m fairly sure yours or your wife’s butt won’t really know the difference.

    We have a GD Reflection 303rls and it has the porcelain stool. All our 5th wheels and trailers had plastic before. My wife and I were talking just yesterday how much better we like the porcelain.

    If you spend a lot of time in the bathroom looking at your toilet, go with porcelain.
    Otherwise save the weight and go with plastic.
    I prefer a plastic toilet.

    This is a decision only you can make.
    Maybe you should sit and ponder it for awhile. :)
