Toilets

So the big news over here is a shiny new Northern Lite 10.2 EX is looming on my horizon. I know I’ve always said how the heck can you guys spend the $$ on these new campers, but I’ve had it with stick built campers and used Northern Lites are so expensive I’d rather just get myself a new one.
Plus... I made the mistake of taking my wife to the dealer to look at them... game over...

Ok so anyhow, I’ve always wanted to have a real porcelain potty in my camper.
Has anyone here swapped one into a Northern Lite?
If so, what model fit?
What does it come with? I can’t seem to find that info anywhere.

And is it worth it like I think it would be?
I hate camper toilets.

If a Dometic 310 fits, pay the extra $50 and get a 320. It has a rim - better for preventing splash-back.

We have a 320 and love the larger seat, BUT we have found we fill our black tank faster than the past. Not sure if good or bad as you will naturally use a bit more water with a 320.

  • I had porcelain toilets in couple of motorhomes and loved them.
When you can find plastic toilet that could be comfortable, porcelain are all build for comfort and the biggest thing is that "skid marks" don't stick to them.
    Whole new level of luxury.
  • We installed a dometic in our last camper. (Arctic Fox 1150) It was a little taller with the bigger bowl and seat. Definitely more comfortable to sit on and the vitreous ceramic finish was easier to clean. They are a bit heavier.

This is the one we installed.

  • Porcelain typically is not used due to the weight. I think material is less important than having a comfortable height and bowl size that is comfortable to sit on. If you choose a size that is the same as residential, you also have much better choice of toilet seats.
