Tongue Jack Needed

So I messed upy shoulder last year and now am in need of installing an electric tongue Jack on the TT. I have been reading and researching, but would like some ideas on what you have and what is good out there.

From what I read here, and my experience, you will have the Atwood forever. Noise is the only complaint. There are many issues with the side motor mounted Jacks, and some cause them to fail. The Atwood is a top motor jack, and is the only one like it on the market.

Atwood has been bought by Lippert, another good one bites the dust.

My trailer came with an Atwood. Works fine. BARKER and Ultra Fab have a big following too

I bought a cheap $80 trailer jack several years ago and glad I did.

I bought a 3500# jack on eBay and it still works perfect after 6 years of use. I see they have gone up in price now to around $90.

I don't need the best.... just one that works.

Probably the same one I bought and is still working. The Ram on Ebay has been excellent for the 5 years I have had it and for~$110 it will be hard to beat.

  • I bought a Husky Brute 4500 many years ago. I would buy it again only this time with a remote to drop it on the ball without getting out of the tow vehicle. It raises my 1200lbs of tongue weight plus the rear of my Burb quickly and easily. Link
  • Ours came with an Ultra-Fab. It’s still going. Seems to be a ****-shoot.
  • You'll wonder why you waited for your shoulder problem to get one of these. Best upgrade ever!

    Get well!

When the noisy, slipping Atwood fails on our current trailer, it will be getting a Barker. If not before.

  • I believe I bought a Bulldog https://www.etrailer.com/Camper-Jack/Bulldog/BD500200.html , its way more jack than i needed, but worth every penny. It is in my opinion the singlemost valuable investment I made for my camping enjoyment.
