Well I prefer a below the rails tool box with a 5er, no clearance issues!
These pictures are with it in the old 2001 Ram 2500, tight to the bottom of the bed. I moved it ti the 2016 Ram 3500, the bed is deeper so was able to lift it 1.5" off the bed floor so can put 8' stuff in the bed.
