I carry a hatchet with the hammer head on one side. Have a multi-tool, razor knife, vice grips, fuses, a small bit of wire, electrical tape. For anything farther than 30 minutes from home I pack a portable tool kit with sockets and wrenches and a large selection of screwdriver bits. I also tend to bring more tools when camping with others as it always seems our camping friends forget or come unprepared.
