Sorry you got shorted some parts. Torklift normally does a great job with very few complaints, but mistakes happen.
I have noticed that some manufactures have gone from "ship all the fasteners in a plastic bag" to large cardboard card with an area and qty for each fastener type and size. Many times they are placed on the card in the same order that they are to be used. Then the whole card is vacuum shrunk with clear plastic to keep them in place. I really like that.
But, I come from the world of aftermarket jeep parts/accessories where poor QC is the norm. I fully expect to have to grind on, weld on, redrill, retap, make two trips to HD, sandblast and repaint anything I order for my jeep. It gone from bad to ridiculous.
Last year I ordered a $5k aftermarket 5.13 Dana 44 high pinion ARB front axle for my 98 TJ from the most well-known and respected axle maker in the US (California). You can hardly pick up a 4x4 mag without see an article about them in it. After waiting 8 wks for the axle to arrive, driving 40 miles to pick it up, spend most of the weekend try to install it without success; I emailed them a photo of the axle they sent me. Apparently they had built the passenger side of the axle for a TJ, but they built the drivers side for a JK. I had to remove the new axle, crate it back up, drive 40 miles back to FedX Freight and wait another month to repeat the whole process. I probably ended up wasting 100 hrs of my time for their mess. They gave me a tshirt and a hat for my trouble.
Last Friday I spent all day trying to make a $19 CB antenna mount work. I finally gave up after cutting, welding, redrilling on it all day; threw it away and made my own.
Last month I bought a new $8k Kubota backhoe/subframe for our Kubota tractor. About half way thru installing the subframe, I realized Kubota had not included any of the 16mm nuts but they gave me twice as many 16mm washers as required. Obviously someone can't tell the difference between a nut and a washer. Not only did I have to waste 2 hrs driving back to the dealer, I also got an argument from the counter guy about the 16mm nuts not being in the fastener bag. The old "that has never happened before" line. The argument ended when I showed him a photo on my phone of the fastens all laid out and sorted on my work bench; with not 16mm grade 8 nuts to be seen.
That's my life. I just ordered a $1500 Ready Brake RV tow bar; I can only wonder what that will entail. I can only hope its only short a few 1/2" aircraft nuts.
Good luck all and have a great Memorial Day Weekend and thank a Veteran if you get a chance.
