Torklift F3006

Hi all,

Just purchased a 2015 F350 diesel. My first diesel. Wow, what a nice truck. Truck has the 2 1/2" receiver. I called Torklift looking for a picture of how the tie downs would look mounted to the receiver. No luck. So I am reaching out to you all. I would just like to see how they look. They look like the mounting end plate (where the FastGuns attach) would be further back than my setup on the previous truck.

Thank You, Jeff Drennan

Here is a photo of a Super Hitch rear tie-down in 1999 F-350
  • The F3006 inserts into the OEM receiver as I described. I found a picture:

  • I will dig up a picture of Torklift tiedowns attached to a Torklift receiever but the F3006 do not attach to your factory receiever. The F3006 is a FRAME mounted tiedown. Only ones that attach to the reciever are for the Torklift superhitch. When you use there application guide it asks what hitch you have, with factor hitch they recommend frame mounted tiedowns.

Frame mounted will be farther foreward than this. They look like this.
  • I know how and where they attach. I just wanted to see a picture with them installed on the vehicle, that's all.

    Thanks, Jeff
  • This post was made about 2 hours after yours. Take a look here.

Built me a twin tube extension with a factory style blue oval camera from camera source. Even has license plate lights. Camper bumper just sets down on it. Last picture is before it was finished but it's the only one I have with the camper on. Can see the trailer ball and everything else to the rear with the camera.

The pictures above are not a stock Ford hitch receiver, but a dual hitch by Torklift. They also sell a attachment for the camper to hook to, but that is not shown in these pictures. Also the upright section for the camera mount was installed by the very skilled owner who posted these pictures. He has a very heavy duty hitch set-up, one that puts the Ford 2.5" receiver rated at 12,000 pounds (or is it 15,000 pounds?) to shame.

    Good luck!

    Fred.
  • If you look at the side of your receiver, you will see a large open square. The tie down bracket slides into the interior of this tube and is clamped to the lip. The brackets terminate before the edge of the rear bed walls in line with those receiver openings on each side. Inserts are pinned into the brackets - The turnbuckles are attached between your camper and insert.
