I'm not the OP, but I have the GlowStep Revolution and also love ours. We have the 4 step version and from the ground to top of the steps is around 39". When they pull out, the steps stay at an even distance, so there is no adjustments that need to be made by you. When they are down, you then put down the landing legs, which can be adjusted to the ground, whether it's level or not.
I am thoroughly satisfied with mine and DH, who has had double knee replacement, loves them more than I do. They were really easy to install (except they were heavy to hold up there to bolt in).
