I looked on oura again today in depth. Sunline welded the steps to the main frame and they did a great weld job... While not impossible to get off, it will be an amount of work.
This coming week I will have to call Torklift to see if they can give me actually max frame dimensions on their 27.5" nominal units. I can take the existing scissors out of my frame pretty easy and this leaves me a wide open 27.25" hole of the old stair frame. If by luck their max outside frame dimension is 27.25 or less than I can mount the Glow step frame inside my old frame. I see that have some bolt heads sticking out on the side for pivot point connection, but I can work around them with clearance holes drilled into the old frame.
We shall see.
