We really like the Glowsteps. (Full disclosure -- they sent it to me for free as a beta tester, several years ago.) Unlike when we had our steel steps, the trailer no longer shakes when I go in and out (and I weigh 230 lb.), and it is much safer when I am carrying a heavy load.
Although the "landing gear" for the steps almost always reach the ground, one time we were boondocking way up in the Uintahs of Utah in the rockiest and most unlevel site we have ever stayed in -- we had to find flat rocks to stack under the feet:

You can see in that shot that the threshold of the door is more than four feet off the ground. With our old steel steps, that would have been a real long jump!
There seems to have been an evolution of the mounting design at the camper. Does yours have the 3 position selectable height lever? Or is your just one position at the top?
This video link shows the latest new mounting system at the camper with the 3 positions. Torklift new trailer mount
This video of them mounting the steps, shows maybe an older design where the mount at the trailer is non adjustable in height.

The reason I am asking is for the exact situation you show in your pic. When we are at a site that the front of the camper is nose down to level out the camper, the rear main entry door is way up there. We have to add a 4th separate step in our case or we would have a 10 to 12" drop off.
I'm hoping the new design mount can allow the whole stair set to go lower then on level ground. I just have not yet sorted out how low that can be.
Thanks for the response.
