Thats got to help but still won't deter any thief that wants to get your generator... Hard to guard against the battery operated rotary cut off saws...
Then if you make too hard for them to steal they will just steal the whole trailer...
The cut off saw is very popular as if you look closely at the generators listed for sale on the popular FOR SALE sites you may see the handles of the Honda generators cut clean through. Then companies came out with this metal handle cover...
Not sure that even helped much...
The only one I have seen stolen was where my neighbor camper had his 3KW Honda log chained to a tree at his camp site. They cut the tree down in broad daylight one afternoon to steal his generator when no one was around I guess (ELKMONT in the SMOKY MTNS Natl Park about three years ago...)
"OUT-OF-SIGHT OUT-OF-MIND" is still the best policy for me... My generator goes where I go... Never left unattended anywhere...
