I agree. Having something like tis is a PITA that one shouldn't have to endure.
A longer drawbar will work, but will lokely cost close to what a new jack will, and I am not sure I would recommend it for a SUV, which likely has a short wheelbase. It could possible have a negative impact on the towing experience.
Is the Atwood shorter. Because this is a SUV I suspect the only relief they will get is with a longer draw bar or shorter height.
Good point. Though I would think that a manual jack would have the same issue. They are not exactly short.
Perhaps the OP can tell us just what the clearance problem is.
