I did the exact same thing my first time out. Be sure and check all you fuses in your truck. Come to find out I had blown the fuse on the 12V constant to the trailer. I didn't realize it until 6 months later when the camper was at the dealer for service and it set there long enough for the battery to go dead and my jack wouldn't work even when plugged into the truck.
