Update.
Went direct to manager to set up my tow request and low and behold........no problem.
Photocopy of my licence and on my way.
Off to scales and here are my findings.
Pin weight on brochure per generic model......which I agree means little stated 2831.
Real weight is 2550. This voltage did not have the big genny sitting in the basement and this did make some difference.
Yellow door trailer weight tag dry states 12,502. My scaled weight shows 12408.
Today weighted truck with both boys, 1/2 fuel and hitch and RAW was 6270.
My axle rating is 7000 and tires 7500.
GCW for truck and toy hauler today was 21,030. My truck is rated 23,500 here and I realize this is a warranty type thing but nice to be well under.
Truck GVW is 11,500 and today without mom we sit at 11,150............. She is 130 but don't tell!!!!
Measured drop hooked up at wheel well was 2.25" and still more than level with the rear rake in truck stock.
All look good to me .
Towing was a breeze and have to admit crossing tracks and bridge expansion joints it seemed to bounce less than my 8500 cougar lite!
Merge of the on ramps no problem and let the truck up shift at its pace.
Very impressed!
I know the tanks are all situated at axels so not worried here. 12 foot garage can contain lots of weight and will load accordingly if I go this route.
Anyway......... Real world weights are key. This is one toy hauler that I am in the. Is for with lots of cushion to be safe.......IMO!,
Now is more decisions. 65-75 k on new rig or not. Will sell my current myself as I always do for more return value.
The voltage uses a cable style system on the slides as to the track and pinion and not sure here. The front jacks being electric but I suppose you got to pay the big bucks for hydraulic??
Thanks
