Your call. Here in PA I have used 4 wheel just to get moving again when I stopped on a hill in the campground. They had just put down about 4 inches of new loose stone. We don't use it often when towing as our 37.5 foot fifth is not exactly designed for off road travel. But it seems a lot of PA campgrounds are built on the side of a hill and you often end up backing uphill in stones. In those cases I would rather flip a switch and slowly back into a spot then pull forward and try to maintain enough momentum and speed to get up the hill while trying to direct the trailer where I need it to go.
