Something to consider, what I found out from trading a sports car for a 1/2 ton truck. Payload adds up really fast.
My little Ram has a payload of 1200 lbs, 550 of which goes to my trailer's tongue when it's full of clothing, food, propane, water, etc.
I'm almost 7ft tall and more line backer than kicker, my own weight and my dog's weight eat another 450 lbs of payload.
Two Yammy 2000 gennys, an extra 15 gallons of water and 12 gallons of fuel in the bed, plus a gas grill, a few pieces of firewood, heavy wood blocks for leveling etc and boom I'm over the 1200 lb limit on my grocery getter.
I'm shopping for a 2500 Outdoorsman HD now, and I'm disappointed to see the payloads 1600-1800 lbs. I would have thought 3/4 ton would add more than 400-600lbs of payload, it must be all the interior gizmos, skid plates, 4wd system, etc that add so much weight.
