I'm upgrading to a dually. I have a GMC and like it well enough to get another. Knowing that there is a big change with the 2015 2500's and 3500's I just could not see getting a 2014 off the lot. The price difference between what my ordered 2015 3500 and a 2014 on the lot was about $4500, not chump change, but not enough to offset depreciation between the two, in my way of thinking. Not sure how much the model change is hurting the sales of ones on the lot but it influenced my decision. Maybe dealers ordered a bunch of the 2014's knowing there would be a downtime for the model changeover. At least they would have something on hand to sell. But, what do I know. The answer is, not much.
