Tow vehicles
My wife and I want to get out of the old motorhome and get a travel trailer. I don't have the cash flow to but all new. What's a good used tow vehicle? Tahoe, Expedition? We're looking at a 26 - 2...

I have a 2010 Silverado 1500 and pull a 1995 26ft Four Winds and the truck really works hard...especially if it is not on flat roads. If I am pulling into a head wind the truck runs at high rpms just to keep it at a reasonable speed. If I camped a lot I would look for something with better towing capabilities, but since we only get out a couple times a summer I tolerate it. I use the truck 98% for commuting and 2% for trailering so I have the truck I need. If you want something that will do a better job towing look at a 2500...I assume you will be happier. My 1995 Four Winds might be a little heavier than some of the newer TT's so I'm not sure if it my 1500 would work better with a newer TT.
