So not much to add re the BOLT. There is a first generation leaf in town that halls around a utility trailer. Brings hay to his horses he has stabled out of town. Other Saturday dump runs etc. He doesn’t have to go very far so it works well for him. I would think you should count on losing half your range. Probably adequate if you camp close by. Common around here.
On edit. Tried to find a picture I had. His is essentially a class two hitch and the same company makes one for the Bolt. He also halls his kids bikes to the local cross trek area. I don’t imagine a full load is more than about 1200 pounds though.
Depending on your expectations it would probably work.
