Hey Lance. Many EV’s come with an EVSE that plugs into a standard 14-50 stove plug. Adapters are available to plug into pretty much any receptacle. But the car itself always plugs into the EVSE. The EVSE is essentially a fancy extension cord that has a safety disconnect device that checks for certain conditions before connecting. In the early days all EVers travelled with a whole whack of adapters but the charging infrastructure is quite built out now so not near as necessary. We still travel with our “go bag” though.
