I have to disagree, you are not right on the edge you are well short of what is needed to safely tow that trailer (nice looking tailer by the way). First mistake is believing that "dry" weights are anything but useless and dangerous. Lightly loaded that trailer will be pretty close to 9,000#+. To even contemplate towing that much trailer with a short wheelbase SUV you need at least 13% of that 9,000# in tongue weight which will be well over 1200# with the weight of hitch. So much for having enough payload.
if you ever have to travel with anything in your tanks the numbers really get absurd. Keep in mind not every dump station is available all of the time but if you are willing to limit your travels to full hook ups you can probably get by running empty 100% of the time.
Sorry to burst your bubble but you will likely have the tail wagging the dog even if you run nearly empty and only travel in good weather on flat roads.... anything else is going to be a white knuckle challenge. Good luck!
