Have you weighed the trailer? Because 2k lbs is a lot of stuff to load into a trailer. What is the CCC and GVWR of the trailer? I'm at 2k lbs of "stuff" in our trailer but we pack a lot of stuff most people probably wouldn't. The average for "stuff" is around 1200lbs added to the dry weight. And if his is your first trailer I can promise you you will be around 800-1000lbs the first year. After that you start slowly adding stuff and it gets heavier.
So with that if you're at 6700lbs loaded for a trip you will be just fine!
