Towing 5700 (dry) - 7700 (wet) travel trailer with tahoe

Imo, 7700lbs Is an awful lot to ask of a Tahoe. I would not want that much behind my Silverado either. My rig is probably somewhere around 5500 loaded ready to camp. My Silverado pulls it just fine, no issues and that's with the bed loaded with gear and firewood and 4 of us in the cab. The new half ton Chevy's have great brakes in my opinion.

However I'd not want to go more than 1000 more loaded trailer weight than I have now. Imo, your in 3\4 ton territory with nearly 8k loaded weight.
